Bert Riley is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of Petersen Advisors. Petersen Advisors is family-owned and provides personalized service for both short-term and long-term financial planning. Bert has over 30 years of experience in wealth management and was president of Petersen Investments where he was responsible for overseeing $1B in assets under management. Prior to founding Petersen Investments in 1997, Bert was a financial advisor for Gruntal & Co.
Bert earned a BS in finance and financial management services from Marist College. He has served on the committees for SIFMA Private Client & Wealth Management and SIFMA Small Business Firms’ and has lobbied in Washington D.C. to broker better relationships between Main Street and Wall Street. Bert also serves on the Finance Committee of his parish and supports several charities.
Outside of work Bert enjoys time with his wife, Samantha, and their six children. He enjoys spending time at the beach surfing and snowboarding in the winter.
